South Korea will be a hard act to follow.  As you can see by the videos we are releasing on YouTube, we had a blast there. After that adventure we made a quick stop in Osaka Japan to visit some friends and meet a new member of the family before we headed home for a few weeks to visit family, attend a wedding, file taxes, work a bit and even see a dentist. It’s time to hit the road again and we wanted to head somewhere warm. Central America has been high on our list since we visited Costa Rica so we decided to avoid the US State department warnings and head down for a 2 week adventure through El Salvador,  Honduras and Guatemala. The government warnings are quite ridiculous and have never stopped us before. We know enough by now to be savvy travelers and not clueless tourists. This year we have already planned out most of our stops and it turns out more than 50% of the countries we plan to visit are on the US travel advisory list. We usually don’t announce in advance where we are heading but since we already booked a lot of it we have decided to share our plans in the hopes that you guys may have some tips and advice for us. After Central America we are heading to Peru for 3 weeks to hike The Inca Trail to Machu Pichu. Then we will be celebrating country #50 in Panama. Then in August we will be starting an 9 month trip around the world with long stops in London, Morocco, Tunisia, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. We also plan to return to India for a week and Sri Lanka for the 2 week Tuk-tuk tournament before ending the trip back home in Thailand. We will be sharing more info on these plans on our website very soon.
There has been some big news regarding our YouTube channel as well. We have finally been monetized and even though we only make around $15 a month right now, being monetized allows us to create our GlobeHoppers community page where we can start to get to know our followers better and build a community. We will include links in the comments.

We flew into the capital of El Salvador,  San Salvador and landed around 3pm, completely exhausted. After checking in to our room we decided to do what we do and headed out on foot to find some food and get a feel for the city. It was 85° and sunny and we couldn’t be happier and more excited but we must be getting old cause after dinner we decided to call it a night and prepare for a waterfall adventure in the morning. Our first impressions are we are going to love it here and we are glad we ignored the travel advisories.
